Mitch and Csaba encounter danger.
A young Los Angeles club DJ, caught between the wishes of his overbearing father and his dreams of musical freedom, uncovers danger, music, a dark family secret and the girl of his dreams, while navigating the sexy and often dangerous streets of Budapest's famous night life.

"Fresh!" -- Michael Rechtshaffen, The Hollywood Reporter

Mitch is an LA DJ in Budapest.
"Fusing a coming-of-age story with pulsating club music... "MIX" is an energetic, visual scratch mix of an international co-production written and directed by Steven Lovy... Fresh!"

"A well-spun coming-of-age tale!" --Erik Childress, efilmcritic.com

Picture
Mitch (Alex Weed).
"It [miX] clearly knows the rave scene and presents it as a party rather than a clichéd way of life."

"Old Europe gets a new rhythm!" --Eddie Cockrel, Daily Variety

Picture
Mitch meets Bea.
"Old Europe gets a new rhythm in miX… Disparate perf styles mix well…Tech credits are competent, with muscular sound mix socking across techno tunes!"

Nothing else I'd rather be caught doing.

Seriously.
I was born in Hollywood. Literally.  In a hospital on Fairfax.  For as long as I can remember I've viewed my life as a movie, sometimes writing the scenes, more often improvising as I go. I started making super 8 movies with my co-writer brother, Robert, when we were six and eleven.

Circuitry Man was my first feature.

Picture
In the future, the Earth has been transformed into a unbreathable wasteland. The human race now lives in underground cities. A gorgeous ex-bodyguard, Lori (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson), and a neurotic android gigolo named Danner (Jim Metzler), team up to mule a fortune in narcotic microships from Los Angeles to the East Coast.

Plughead says, "Watch the trailer."

Circuitry Man written by Steven and Robert. Directed by Steven.

Picture
Lori (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson)
Plughead (Vernon Wells), a sadistic microchip dealer who is more machine than man, wants the chips for himself and relentlessly gives chase to the unlikely duo, stopping at nothing to possess both the narcotic microchips and the beautiful Lori.

I earned my motion picture and tv production degree at UCLA alongside fellow classmates Gore Verbinski, Alexander Payne, David Koepp, Todd Holland,  Gerald Hughes and Christopher B. Neely, each of whom I have enormous respect and admiration for.  Bruins rule!
